The project presented a significant challenge due to the limited space available in the tightening area. With only around 85mm of space to work with, the conventional approach of using standard tools with angle heads was simply not feasible. Furthermore, there was a stringent requirement for a high torque of 250Nm, which made the task even more complex.

In order to overcome these obstacles, a unique and innovative solution was devised. Team Autorque  and team of Lübbering’s engineers and designers worked tirelessly to develop a special angle head that would not only fit within the confined space but also deliver the required torque. The result was a meticulously designed angle head with a remarkably compact size, standing at a height of just 50mm. This breakthrough design allowed it to be maneuvered and positioned in the limited space available for tightening.

One of the key factors that contributed to the success of this project was the carefully engineered transmission ratio of the angle head. By employing a transmission ratio of 2.714, the input torque from the tool, which initially stood at 96Nm, was effectively multiplied to reach the desired torque of 250Nm. This unique feature made the special angle head capable of delivering the high torque output in a confined space where conventional tools would have fallen short.

The completion of this project was of utmost importance due to the critical nature of the high torque requirement in the limited space. It required a blend of creativity, precision, and engineering expertise to develop the Lübbering special angle head. The success of this project not only showcased the technical prowess of the team but also demonstrated their ability to devise ingenious solutions to overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges. This accomplishment further solidified Lübbering’s reputation as a leader in innovative engineering solutions and set a new benchmark for future projects with similar space constraints and high torque demands.
